After losing 175 pounds I have grown to love myself so much more, and I really want to share with other people who are facing a weight issue, or any issue that has caused you to be depressed and lose respect for yourself, you deserve more! I have a long way to go on my fitness journey, but one thing that has been heavy on my mind today is extreme thankfulness for the improvements in my relationships. When you love yourself more you open your heart to accept love of others and you are able to return love genuinely, with more energy, passion, and excitement. Take some time today to LOVE YOURSELF! If you are someone who, for whatever reason, has gotten off track with your weight loss- I want you to know I understand and you are not alone in what you are experiencing. There is no reason to feel shame. I also encourage you to make time to reflect on what you want for yourself. Where do you see yourself in a year? Three years? Five years? Dig deep and imagine the best case scenario, then plan for that! You can do it! A set back can not stop you. It didn't stop me.

Preparing for a Half Marathon

The half marathon I have chosen to participate in is the Yosemite Half Marathon, hosted by Vacation Races. I am so excited to jog this scenic course through the woods outside of Yosemite National Park! My husband will be joining me and I am thankful for the opportunity to enjoy a weekend away with him; doing something together that will improve our health and lives.
