The #1 Change I Made to Lose Over 150 pounds- the most important thing!

The people who hurt me don't matter. The people who once judged me don't matter. The people who still judge me don't even matter! None of those people get to live my life. I lost weight for myself! I did this for myself because I wanted to be a happier person and be a better mom, a better wife, a better daughter, and a better friend to the people who do matter.

Getting Back on Track with Weightloss After a Setback

Getting Back on Track with Weightloss After a Setback

If you are someone who, for whatever reason, has gotten off track with your weight loss- I want you to know I understand and you are not alone in what you are experiencing. There is no reason to feel shame. I also encourage you to make time to reflect on what you want for yourself. Where do you see yourself in a year? Three years? Five years? Dig deep and imagine the best case scenario, then plan for that! You can do it! A set back can not stop you. It didn't stop me.

Preparing for a Half Marathon

Preparing for a Half Marathon

The half marathon I have chosen to participate in is the Yosemite Half Marathon, hosted by Vacation Races. I am so excited to jog this scenic course through the woods outside of Yosemite National Park! My husband will be joining me and I am thankful for the opportunity to enjoy a weekend away with him; doing something together that will improve our health and lives.

3 Years of New Years Resolutions

3 Years of New Years Resolutions

It took me a full year of working on myself to be fully inspired- but in January 2017 I had a plan, I had intention, and I was ready! I started by creating a set of important goals. I kept track of every step along the way- recipes, stories, workouts, calories, ideas. Now I realize these steps that I have been tracking can be followed by anyone.
