Today I am going to share something you might not want to read, but I hope you will understand the importance of this post. Losing weight, getting in shape, and creating lasting change is hard work!
For so many years I looked for the fast and easy solutions. The fad diets and supplements would work in the short term and I would lose some weight, but I always gained it back quickly.
It was not until I embraced the hard work that I was able to finally reach a healthy weight and stay consistent in a healthy lifestyle.
Nothing in my life that has been easy has been permanent or truly rewarding. Creating this blog, studying to become a personal trainer and nutrition specialist, and losing 177 pounds have all required lots of time, energy and consistency. There are times it is “hard” and times I want to quit. What I have to remind myself is that I have plenty of proof that trying to take the easy route has never produced the results I need. Every day when I get up I know there will be something difficult I must face. It could be getting overwhelmed with my current studies in exercise and nutrition, dealing with an issue for my family, or saying no to a food I really want to eat in that moment. But I embrace it, I look forward to it, because I know that’s the only way I will become stronger and more capable with everything I do in my life.
